The 90-mile Wolf River begins in Holly Springs National Forest in northern Mississippi and flows into western Tennessee, looping through Memphis to join the mighty Mississippi River just north of Mud Island. A spring-fed stream rich in wetlands and wildlife, the Wolf is a unique and priceless natural resource.

Wondering where the Ghost River Section is? It's an 8 1/2-mile section of the Wolf that runs from LaGrange,Tennessee, to Bateman Bridge near Moscow. See the Canoeing page for important canoeing information, including needed equipment, outfitters, safety precautions, etc.
