WRC welcomes the participation of a variety of students and other individuals in our internship programs. Internships may be offered throughout the year and scheduling is flexible. While programs are designed to meet specific needs of the WRC, interns have the opportunity to participate in a variety of functions executed by the organization. All internships are non-paid positions.

The Wolf River Conservancy offers internships in the following areas:
Education/Conservation Internship
For individuals with interests in environmental, outdoor and conservation education for all age groups, as well as habitat protection, greenway development and other conservation-related issues. Education/Conservation Interns will work directly with the Director of Education, and with other staff members as needed, on a variety of projects including, but not limited to, indoor and outdoor educational programming, service projects, special events, website development, social media, communications, and more. The position will be based at the WRC office and will require travel to a variety of locations in the Mid-South area. Interns may have the opportunity to participate in WRC recreational activities as well.
Development/Marketing Internship
Designed for individuals interested in learning more about the strategic growth of organizations, communications, management, fundraising and sales. Development/Marketing interns will work directly with the Director of Development and Marketing on a variety of specific projects including, but not limited to, donor development, stewardship, social media, grant proposals, volunteer management, strategic planning, mass communications and more. While position is primarily based at the WRC office, interns will have opportunity to participate in other programs such as service projects, special events, and public engagement activities. Interns may be able to participate in educational and recreational programs as well.
