Ring Challenge Grant

Support Land Conservation and Clean Water

Ring Container Technologies, headquartered in Oakland, TN, has structured a $500,000 Challenge Matching Grant with the Wolf River Conservancy. The purpose of this challenge is to help us acquire and protect additional wetlands in the Wolf River watershed, which is the core mission of our organization.

The "Triple Z" property is the first project (or phase) of this challenge. Our goal is to raise $250,000 toward the acquisition and protection of this strategically important property, which Ring Container Technologies will match dollar for dollar. This phase will provide the needed funds to purchase 215 acres of unspoiled wetlands on the south side of the Wolf River, close to the Shelby-Fayette County line (see map below - the proposed purchase is highlighted in red).

Having secured this property in January 2016, we are now protecting a 4,000 acre area of contiguous, preserved wetland, as the map below illustrates.

We are calling on our members and friends of the Wolf River Conservancy and asking that you please give generously and help us fund the remaining gap knowing that every dollar you give will save $3.46 worth of unspoiled wetlands now and for future generations. With your help we will meet phase one of the Ring Challenge and successfully launch the next phase of this vital effort to preserve the Wonder of the Wolf.
