Thank You to Our Earth Day Volunteers!

We would like to recognize the 97 volunteers who joined Conservancy staff on Earth Day, April 22nd, to pick up trash, improve a trail, and work on several smaller projects at the Epping Way section of the Wolf River Greenway.  Volunteers picked up 966 lbs. of trash and tires, improved 1,000 ft. of hiking trail, installed one bat house and painted several more, completed a floating wetland island project, assembled and painted nest boxes for birds, planted several native plants, and mulched young trees to help them survive the summer.  It was a beautiful spring day, even more so because of a terrific effort by our community volunteers!

The Conservancy would also like to thank our event day sponsor, Buckman, and our Wolf River Restoration Series presenting sponsor, Brother International, for their continued support!
