Wolf River Restoration Series Wrap-Up: Thank You, Everyone!

The numbers speak for themselves: 4 great projects, 692 volunteers, 1,305 volunteer hours, 11,425 trees, 221 bags of trash, 59 tires, 25 large discarded items, 6,400 lbs. of trash and tires altogether – also nest boxes and bat houses painted, and installed, exotic invasive plants removed, native plants planted, trails cleared, and 315 registrants for our online lecture series. What an amazing effort by the many volunteers who joined our series of service projects from January to April to help us green our community!

We want to thank the volunteers, as well as Brother International, the Presenting Sponsor of the Wolf River Restoration Series, and event-day sponsors International Paper, Sylvamo, and Buckman.  Also, thanks to the following organizations for their essential contributions to this effort: Urban Earth, The Works CDC, Tennessee Urban Forestry Council, Living Lands and Waters, and Clean Memphis.

The Wolf River Restoration Series is one important means by which the Wolf River Conservancy engages volunteers to steward the lands we conserve through habitat restoration work.  Our thanks again to everyone involved!
