The Wolf River Conservancy (WRC) is a nonprofit corporation organized in 1985. Its mission is “dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the Wolf River corridor and watershed as a sustainable natural resource”. Through the cooperation of landowners and the generosity of the local community, the WRC has protected 18,500 acres of sensitive wetlands which provide habitats for a variety of plants, trees, grasses and flowers and a rich wildlife population. Lands have been protected by means of direct purchases, donations and conservation easements.

Work Hours

While typical work hours are 9:00 am- 5:00 pm, Monday -Friday, employees must be willing to handle flexible work hours including occasional work on nights and weekends. Employees are able to work a “hybrid” ( physical and virtual ) schedule.

Associate Director of Development

The Associate Director of Development has a key role in securing philanthropic contributions and increasing community support to further the mission of the Wolf River Conservancy. The purpose of this position is to expand organizational philanthropic funding through Annual Giving and increasing special event revenue through sponsorships, in-kind contributions, ticket sales and registrations.

Paddle Assistant (Seasonal)

Seasonal Paddle Assistants are tasked with the logistics of the Conservancy's sponsored "Paddle the Greenway" program held at the Epping Way section of the Wolf River Greenway; this program is held in spring and fall. (Spring Season – April thru June; Fall Season – September thru November)
