Volunteer With Us

The Wolf River Conservancy’s volunteer force is a vital part of our organization, helping us to protect and restore the Wolf River watershed through community service projects, serving as River Guides and Greenway Ambassadors, or assisting with many other efforts. There are several ways to get involved, including:

Greenway Ambassador
Help the Conservancy inform, assist and obtain feedback from the public about their experiences on the open sections of the Wolf River Greenway.

‍‍River Guide
Learn to share our beautiful river with others through our River Guide Program, complete with training and certification.

Intern
The Conservancy welcomes the participation of college students who want to learn more about conservation and outdoor education.

Land Steward
Help us keep our habitats healthy and our watershed clean. We offer service projects to clean up litter, remove exotic invasive plants, restore native habitats, and more.

Special Events Volunteer
The Conservancy is always looking for volunteers to help with planning and day-of volunteer needs for our annual fundraising events. The Greenway Soiree, the Wolf River Restoration Series, and the Discover the Greenway events would not be possible without the support of our volunteers!

Please use the links on the right to register and volunteer through Volunteer Odyssey, our volunteer management partner. A member of the Conservancy will follow-up and discuss your interest.

There are opportunities throughout the year for corporate partners, church groups, Scout groups, and others to contribute through service projects, such as trash clean-ups, invasive plant removal, and more. If you’re interested in one of these opportunities, please contact Erin Jennings.

Our annual Wolf River Restoration Series provides four large community volunteer service projects from January to April every year. Presented by Brother International, these volunteer projects are open to all and take place along the Wolf River and the Wolf River Greenway. Please check out our events calendar for information on the Wolf River Restoration Series and other fun volunteer opportunities available for the community!

Planned Giving

One of the best and most sustainable ways to help carry forward the conservation mission is to engage in Planned Giving. This gives families an opportunity to determine exactly how they want to support Wolf River Conservancy with certainty through estate planning documentation. Whether it’s through a bequest or another method, your planned gift qualifies you as a member of our Cypress Society.

Our Benefactors

The impact made by the Wolf River Conservancy would not be met without the dedicated and committed support of our benefactors. Our benefactors provide annual support of $25,000 or greater. Contact Susan Graham, Chief Development Officer, for more information about becoming a benefactor.
