Join the WRC for a magical evening with live music from The Mighty Souls Brass Band on The Wolf River Greenway

The Mighty Souls are brewing up a night of Funky Memphis Soul just for You! This Memphis‐based rotating collective of composer‐players versed in a multitude of musical traditions, isn’t a soul band, nor is it a funk band, a marching band, or a swing band. And yet, depending on where you catch them live, you’ll hear all of those influences and more from around the globe.

This event will be held at the Mud Island Trailhead of The Wolf River Greenway, located at the confluence of the Wolf and Mississippi Rivers.  

Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy delicious food truck offerings by the river.

Local food trucks Flyway Memphis and Good Groceries will begin serving at 5:30pm. Music begins at 6:00pm.

Flyway Memphis is bringing their signature hospitality and delicious beer to the riverfront. In addition to their mobile setup, Flyway operates a full taproom and restaurant in Memphis’s Edge District (formerly home to High Cotton Brewing) where guests can enjoy an expanded lineup of craft beer, handcrafted cocktails, and a welcoming space designed for gathering. Be sure to catch them at the event and plan a visit to their taproom, too.

Good Groceries is an exceptionally versatile, scratch‑made food truck offering ever‑changing menus.  With over 20 years of combined experience, the team behind Good Groceries excels in everything from casual service to catered events, private dinners, boxed lunches, and large‑scale gatherings.
