What

Come learn to paddle a kayak or canoe with the Wolf River Conservancy! Our Paddle Guides will be on hand to help you learn the basics of controlling and safely paddling a kayak or canoe on our 25-acre lake along mile nine of the Wolf River Greenway trail. We have a 60-foot floating dock to make it even easier for anyone to paddle a canoe or kayak on the lake. There is no charge or fee to participate, and all equipment provided, this is free event. Participants are required to wear a PFD (Personal Floatation Device or Life Jacket) at all times while in a canoe or kayak on the lake.

Where

The Wolf River Greenway at Epping Way is located at 2630 Epping Way Drive. Vehicles can be parked in the cul-de-sac at this address. Walk through the gate, and down the trail, turning left at the "T" intersection at the lake. Follow the trail to our boat dock where volunteers will be stationed with boats.

How

Two persons per canoe/kayak with a maximum of fourteen boats launched each hour.  There are three 1-hour timeslots available each day of our Paddle the Greenway event. In consideration of others, please select no more than two timeslots.  All ages are welcome, and everyone must wear a PFD (Personal Floatation Device, or Life Jacket) which will be provided onsite. We recommend bringing sunscreen and bottled water. Portable restrooms will be on site.
