Sylvamo Helps Lead the Way on World Water Day

Protecting our natural resources takes collaboration, and that’s exactly what the partnership between the Wolf River Conservancy and Sylvamo represents. As a Corporate Benefactor and the Event Day Sponsor of our World Water Day restoration event, Sylvamo continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability across its operations and the communities it serves.

“At Sylvamo, we know that conserving forests and protecting the many benefits they provide can’t be solved by one company alone,” says Nathaniel Elser, Sylvamo’s Global Sustainability Manager and a member of the Wolf River Conservancy board. “That’s why our partnership with Wolf River Conservancy is so important. By working together with trusted local partners, we’re able to extend our sustainability efforts beyond our operations and into the communities we serve.”

For Elser, serving on the Conservancy’s board has also deepened his connection to Memphis and the Wolf River watershed. “Through this work, I’ve gained a stronger understanding of the watershed and a deeper appreciation for how the Greenway connects communities across Memphis,” he says.
