Volunteer Spotlight: FedEx Cares and Ring Container

For this Volunteer Spotlight, The Wolf River Conservancy would like to send special thanks to volunteers from FedEx Cares and Ring Container.

We would like to send a special shout-out to the Ring Container team for their conservation efforts at our native tree nursery, where we have potted trees waiting for their forever homes. Ring employees gathered on a beautiful spring morning to steward our native trees by removing troublesome weeds, sorting our tree population by species for better care, and providing a healthy environment for our trees by performing nursery maintenance. Thank you, Ring Container, for your work to advance our urban reforestation efforts.

This Spring, The Wolf River Conservancy held its annual conservation event with FedEx Cares at our Epping Way Trailhead. FedEx Cares is FedEx’s global community engagement program that facilitates their purpose of connecting people and possibilities. Their goal is to help make the world a better place, and we appreciate the efforts that they contributed to local conservation in the Wolf River watershed. Volunteers performed tree care in our arboretum and assisted with trail maintenance around Epping Lake. They also gave back to native wildlife by removing invasive plant species, and supported habitat restoration by building bat boxes to house our bat population. We thank FedEx Cares for two decades of conservation collaboration to preserve and protect the Wolf River and its watershed.

Volunteer Spotlight: FedEx Cares and Ring Container support Wolf River conservation with tree care, habitat restoration, and Greenway stewardship efforts.
