Volunteer Spotlight: Serve901 & Keller United Methodist Church

This month’s Volunteer Spotlight highlights Serve901 and Keller United Methodist Church. Serve901 works to provide organizations outside of the Memphis metro area with local service opportunities. They emphasize that the story of the Bluff City showcases innovation, hope, and what Memphians call “grit and grind”, while facilitating service alongside local nonprofits that makes a real difference in the Memphis community.

This June, Serve901 brought over 20 volunteers from Keller United Methodist Church (Keller, TX) to our Native Tree Nursery to help care for our potted native trees. Under the direction of our Land Steward Coordinator, Dylan Moreau, teen volunteers and their leaders weeded native trees, sorted them by species, and made sure they are happy and healthy while they wait for their forever homes. Our trees and our staff offer a special thanks to Serve 901 and Keller United Methodist Church. Thank you for your service.
