Wolf River 5K Brings Community Together on the Greenway

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Wolf River 5K! More than 500 runners and walkers came out on Saturday, January 10th to enjoy a beautiful morning along the Wolf River Greenway at Shady Grove. Your energy, enthusiasm, and support made the event another memorable celebration of community, wellness, and the natural beauty of the Wolf River.
We are grateful to our friends at Start2Finish Events for their outstanding coordination and for once again selecting the Wolf River Conservancy as the event beneficiary. A portion of the proceeds from the race directly supports our mission to preserve and protect the Wolf River and its surrounding habitats – a mission made possible through community partnerships like this one.
The Wolf River 5K highlights one of the many ways the Wolf River Greenway connects people with nature. Once complete, this 26‑mile trail will link neighborhoods from Mud Island to Germantown, creating inclusive outdoor access for residents across Memphis.
A special thank‑you goes out to our dedicated volunteers, whose time and talents ensure this event runs smoothly each year. We appreciate everyone who braved the early morning chill to cheer, guide, and support participants on the course.
