Volunteer at the WRRS

There is more than one way to give to the Wolf River Conservancy, and one way is the gift of volunteer hours. We encourage you to donate your time by volunteering the two remaining events in our Wolf River Restoration Series. Spring weather has arrived, and there is no better time to get outside and give back to the Wolf River watershed.

Join us for our World Water Day Tree Planting on March 28th.  Our 21st Annual Tree Planting was rained out, so we are taking the opportunity to plant our trees for World Water Day!  Volunteers of all ages are needed to plant native trees to further urba reforestation efforts in the Wolf River Watershed. Urban trees reduce energy use, remove pollutants, filter stormwater, cool streets, and provide health benefits like reduced stress and improved mental health. We will plant over 1,500 native trees in this two-hour event, helping to diversify a wildlife corridor within the Wolf River floodplain.

Our final event of the Wolf River Restoration Series is our Earth Day Celebration, to be held on April 25th at our beautiful Epping Way location. This event provides our volunteers with both recreation and conservation opportunities to paddle the 20-acre Epping Way lake, hike to a Wolf River beach, build nest boxes for our feathered friends, and more! We will also have delicious treats from food trucks, and face painting for the young and young at heart.

We consider your time a gift, and we would be honored if you shared that gift with The Wolf River Conservancy. Your engagement matters, and we cannot do this without you.

We can’t wait to see you there!
