We would like to thank everyone who attended our 2025 Discover the Greenway Fall Series!
For our very first live music event on Sept. 12, the Conservancy hosted a magical evening with music from Too Small at our Mud Island Trailhead. Too Small is a chamber folk band whose music looks to explore themes of community empowerment. The group features oboist Courtnee Wall, violinist Ethan Baker, guitarist Gunter Gaupp and bassist Spence Bailey.
Our Sept. 27 Adventure Day on the Wolf River Greenway was both a stewardship and a recreation event featuring paddling instruction on 20-acre Epping Lake and hiking to the Epping Way Beach on the Wolf River, along with nest box building for our feathered friends, removing litter, restoring trails, and making the space enjoyable for our Wolf River watershed community.
We would like to thank our collaborative partner Memphis Parks for helping us facilitate Memphis Parks Movie Night with the Wolf River Conservancy on Oct. 4. Memphians enjoyed the beautiful Wolf River Greenway and a charming, family-friendly movie, The Wild Robot. This event was also held at the Mud Island Trailhead of the Wolf River Greenway located at the confluence of the Wolf and Mississippi Rivers.
The Discover the Greenway Fall Series culminated with the Wolf River Conservancy Fall Fest on October 24th at the stunning Shady Grove Trailhead. Participants enjoyed an arboretum scavenger hunt, decorated pumpkins to take home, met some creepy crawly critters, marched in our costume parade, and had delicious treats from Good Groceries and Sno Junt!
The Wolf River Conservancy would like to thank the FedEx Credit Association, Bluff City Canoe Club, Tennessee Valley Authority, and TC Energy for their support of the 2025 Discover the Greenway Fall Series. Though the Fall Series is now over, the Wolf River Restoration Series is just around the corner. We can’t wait to see you there!
Thanks to all who joined the 2025 Discover the Greenway Fall Series! Music, paddling, hikes, and Fall Fest fun celebrated nature, community, and
