Thanks to Our MLK Day of Service Volunteers!

THANK YOU to the 57 volunteers who joined Conservancy staff on the morning of Jan. 21st to honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy by lending a hand at Kennedy Park.  Volunteers cleared invasive privet, collected a huge amount of trash and tires, and assembled, painted, installed and cleaned out nest boxes to prepare them for spring on the Wolf River Greenway. Special thanks to Brother International, the presenting sponsor for our Wolf River Restoration Series, for the hard work provided by its employee volunteers.  Our MLK Day of Service project was the first in a series of four service projects from January to April.  Our next project on Mar. 4th is our 18th Annual Tree Planting, followed by a World Water Day project on Mar. 25th, and an Earth Day project on April 22nd.
